Phone Doctor — Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 9, 2026

Phone Doctor ("the App") is a device diagnostics app developed for Android. This page explains what information the App accesses, how it is used, and the choices you have. Phone Doctor is built to run its diagnostics locally on your device wherever possible.

1. No account, no server-side storage

Phone Doctor does not require you to create an account and does not have a backend server. Diagnostic results, test history, and app settings are stored only in the App's local storage on your device, using Android's standard app-private storage. This data is never uploaded to us or to any server we control.

2. Information the App does not collect

The App does not collect, transmit, or store:

3. Permissions the App requests

Phone Doctor only requests a permission when you open the matching diagnostic test or enable the matching feature, and only uses it for that purpose:

Phone Doctor does not request broad photo, video, audio, or external-storage read access. The Storage Test reads only basic total/used/free space information available to the App without media-library permissions. For detailed storage management, the App opens Android's system storage settings. Diagnostic reports are created in app-private storage and may be shared only when you choose to share them through Android's system sharing interface.

You can review and revoke applicable permissions at any time from your device's Android Settings, and you can delete all locally stored test history at any time from the App's own Settings screen.

4. Advertising

The free version of Phone Doctor may show ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use data (such as advertising identifiers) according to Google's own advertising and consent policies, independently of the App. You can see Google's practices here: policies.google.com/technologies/ads. Where required, the App presents a consent dialog before showing personalized ads. A paid Premium tier, where offered, removes ads.

5. Third-party services

The only third-party service integrated into the App is Google AdMob (Section 4). Phone Doctor does not integrate any analytics, crash-reporting, or advertising SDK beyond AdMob.

6. Data retention and deletion

All diagnostic history and settings live only on your device. Uninstalling the App removes this data. You can also clear test history at any time from Settings → Clear History, without uninstalling the App.

7. Children's privacy

Phone Doctor is a general-audience utility app and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a revised "Last updated" date.
